BoI to donate Allegory tapestry
Louis Le Brocquy'S famous 1950 tapestry Allegory is among one of 25 works of art worth €3m being donated by Bank of Ireland to the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA).
The art works, which are currently being transferred to IMMA for an exhibition this March, also include Eileen Aroon by Jack B Yeats, as well as works by Paul Henry, Gerard Dillon and Patrick Scott. The Back of Tory Island by Derek Hill is also in the collection. The art works are being donated to the museum as heritage gifts.
