BUSINESSMAN Bill Cullen has re-entered the car industry with a new SsangYong dealership.

The dealership – Bill Cullen Premier Motors – on the Naas Road will stock the Korean range of SUVs as well as used cars.

Cullen, who was the face of the Irish Apprentice, said today: “I've been itching to get back into the motor trade for some time. I had noticed that SsangYong had a new range that was performing well in other markets and when I spotted that it had entered the Irish market I knew it was time to make a move.”

Back in 2012, Cullen lost the right to sell Renault cars after a 24 year association.

At the time, Mr Cullen said the agreement with Renault had been terminated by "mutual agreement".

Bill and his partner Jackie have recruited a team of sales people and servicemen.

“We are in an excellent location with easy access from the M50 and the red Luas line going by our door – we’re a stone’s throw from the Bluebell Luas stop,”he added.

Joe Harris, chief executive SsangYong Motors Ireland said he was thrilled to have the well accomplished businessman on board.
