Big impact: Blueacre is top SFA Awards winner for 2019

High-tech manufacturing firm Blueacre Technology has been honoured as overall winner at the Small Firms Association's National Small Business Awards 2019.

Founded in 2006 by Dr David Gillen, Blueacre is based in Dundalk, Co Louth, employes 15 people, and provides specialist laser micromachining equipment to the medical device and other manufacturing industries.

The firm processes thousands of high value parts every day from its 24/7 facility.

Finalists from 14 counties celebrated the awards - for which the Irish Independent is the media partner - at a gala dinner in the RDS Concert Hall.
