Banking inquiry hearing from former Anglo and IL&P executives

THE banking inquiry is hearing from a number of former Anglo Irish Bank and Irish Life & Permanent executives today. First up is Peter Fitzgerald, former Director of corporate and retail treasury at Anglo Irish Bank as well as Gary

McGann, ex non-executive director, Anglo Irish Bank.

Matt Moran, the former chief financial officer at Anglo Irish Bank will also will give evidence.

Later today, David Went, former chief executive at Irish Life and Permanent/Permanent TSB will attend the hearing while David Gantly, the former head of group treasury will also give evidence.

Chairman Ciaran Lynch TD said: “The focus of the inquiry tomorrow morning is on Anglo Irish Bank," he said.

"Later in the afternoon, the focus of the inquiry will be on Irish life and Permanent/Permanent TSB."
