Bank of Ireland appoints former Lloyds exec Kane as Governor designate reporters

BANK of Ireland appoints former Lloyds executive Archie Kane as Governor designate with immediate effect.

He will succeed Pat Molloy who will retire as non-executive director at the end of June.

Mr Kane retired from Lloyds in May of last year where he was group executive director of Insurance and Scotland.

Wilbur Ross Junior, chief executive of Bank of Ireland shareholder WL Ross & Co, has been appointed as non-executive director.

In addition, V Prem Wasa has been appointed to the board of directors.

He is the chairman and chief executive of Fairfax Financial Holdings.
