A tourism promotion company is offering 250 attractions around Ireland the chance to create a free 30-second clip promoting their destinations.

Visitor TV, which said it will launch its service on the internet next month, aims to be an information resource for tourists in Ireland.

The network already airs on televisions in hotel rooms in Limerick and Kerry, but intends to make the service available online due to demand.

Managing director David Hughes said that it took two years to develop Visitor TV into an online channel, while the service will also be rolled out into 10,000 more bedrooms in Ireland over the next year.

The firm is hiring sales staff, as well as video production interns for a two-month stint.

The owners of ORH Marketing, the firm behind Visitor TV, are Mr Hughes and Loughrea-based Michelle O'Regan.
