Aryzta's head of Europe and Asia Pacific, Hilliard Lombard, is to leave the frozen bakery giant at the end of January.
Mr Lombard has "decided to pursue other interests", according to a statement issued by the company this morning.
Aryzta chief executive Owen Killian said Mr Lombard had been "been instrumental in making Aryzta a stronger, better and more relevant business".
The company's share price has fallen almost 40pc over the last 12 months, with management facing criticism over a decision to take a 49pc stake in food retailer Picard.
