Profits at one of the largest architectural practices in the country, O'Mahony Pike Architects, increased by 28pc to €1.1m in 2017. The firm - with offices in Dublin and Cork - saw the number it employs increase from 79 to 101 in 2017. Seven directors served for the firm during the year and directors' pay increased from €910,941 to €1.397m.

The directors' pay was made up of €663,304 in remuneration and €733,930 in pension contributions. The firm's accumulated profits totalled €3.3m.

Accounts filed by planning consultancy John Spain & Associates show that firm recorded profits of €207,771 in 2018.
