APRIL’S service sector activity was up for the third month in a row, according to the latest NCB Services Purchasing Managers Index.
The index stood at 52.2 points in April compared with 52.1 in March – any figure above 50 signals growth.
Companies said increased marketing activity was driving growth.
New business also increased last month with exports playing a key role.
NCB said that although input costs continue to increase in April, the rate of inflation was only slight and the weakest in eight months.
