Apex Fund Services to create 50 jobs as Irish operations expand
Apex Fund Services plans to increase headcount across its Irish offices with the expansion of operations here.
The financial services provider will be creating 50 new jobs at its new expanded offices in Carrigtwohill, Cork in the next 18 months.
It is expected that Apex will also expand its headcount in Dublin and Sligo going forward.
Currently the 8th largest fund administrator in the world, Apex specialises in delivering fund administration and middle offices services to asset mangers worldwide.
The firm's rapid expansion, both organically and through acquisition, is driving the demand for additional talented resources globally.
Its Irish arm is "one of the world’s largest financial hubs and an extremely important service centre for Apex, with offices in Cork, Dublin and Sligo", according to Managing Director for Ireland Bryan Atkinson.
"With Brexit looming, more and more managers are looking to the Irish funds industry for stability and we are in the perfect position to service that business," he said.
Apex is actively recruiting experienced professionals and graduates in corporate finance, accounting and commerce to fill roles in the Cork.
The group is particularly targeting graduates from Waterford Institute of Technology, Cork Institute of Technology and University College Cork, given the location of the new offices.
The Apex Group acquired Deutsche Bank’s Alternative Fund Services business in October 2017, adding €170bn to Apex’s assets under administration.
