Online retail giant Amazon is packing up and moving to a new office space in Dublin's Burlington Plaza.

More than 100 tech staff will be working in its Dublin Development Centre on Burlington Road, Dublin 4, from April, with the remaining moving from its current home in Kilmainham in June. Amazon will occupy three floors of the new premises.

Support, systems and network engineers, software developers and technical managers will all be based at the site, according to managing director Jeff Caselden.

"Amazon has created hundreds of jobs in Dublin in the last nine years and we've found the talent we need to support our continued growth," he said.

The Dublin Development Centre opened in 2005 and is home to a team of engineers and developers which supports the design and deployment of Amazon Web Services.
