Ale to the chief: Irish craft brewery Rye River scoops 21 World Beer Awards
Irish craft beer brewery Rye River Brewing Company has been crowned the world's most decorated independent craft brewery after winning an unprecedented 21 awards at the World Beer Awards 2019.
The Celbridge-based brewery employs an expert team of 47 to produce beers under their flagship brands McGargles and Rye River Seasonal. As well as supplying private and exclusive craft beers to some of Ireland's largest retailers, their brews are also exported to 25 markets.

The McGargles range of beers topped the list, taking home nine awards.
Overall, Rye River Brewing secured one World's Best in Class winner, 12 Country Style winners, four Gold Medals, three Silver Medals and a Bronze. Of the 30 beers Rye River produce, 21 were honoured with awards.
That haul brings Rye River's award tally since its establishment in 2013 to a phenomenal 130 gongs.
The World Beer Awards is a prestigious competition that celebrates beers from around the world, with over 2,000 beers from 30 countries entering the competition.
Speaking about the company's success to date, Tom Cronin, founder and fanaging director of Rye River Brewing, said: "I'm so proud to say that Rye River Brewing is now the world's most decorated independent craft brewery. We've come a long way in six short years.
