Aldi extends contract with Donegal-based juice supplier Mulrines in smooth €7m deal
Aldi shoppers can expect more variety in their juice range as the supermarket extends its contract with Donegal-based premier juice producer Mulrines.
Partnering with Aldi in Ireland since 2002, Mulrines is set to increase the volume of product it will supply by 20pc annually, with new exclusively developed items coming to the retailer's shelves.
This includes a premium 100pc Irish fresh apple juice - a blend of Irish grown Cox’s Pippen, Elstar and Jonagold apples - which launches in stores next month.
The latest one-year contract will see Mulrines provide over €7m worth of Irish-made fruit juices and smoothies to Aldi's 137 stores nationwide.
The only juice producer in Ireland that grows its own fruit, processes it and sells the finished product, Mulrines is in business for 100 years this year.
It employs 180 people across production, sales and innovation roles at its production facilities and orchards in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal and Kill, Co. Kildare.
