AIB is to open three new banking outlets in Carrickmines Retail Park and Grand Canal Dock in Dublin and Little Island in Cork.

The operations will open on October 28.

According to the bank, all three will have extended opening hours during the week and the Dublin operations will open at the weekend.

AIB CEO, Bernard Byrne said: “We are delighted to announce the opening of these three new outlets as it marks another important milestone in the bank’s customer-led strategy. Over the past number of years, AIB has transformed its business to be more focussed on customer needs, with flexible banking hours, the latest in in-branch technologies and significant improvements in mobile and online banking."

The nationalised bank closed numerous branches during the banking crisis.
