Aer Lingus passenger numbers down in November
AER Lingus passenger numbers fell last month compared with November of last year.
Including Aer Lingus Regional operations, numbers decreased by 5pc to 728,000 in November compared with the same month in 2012.
The carrier said November’s passenger numbers were in line with expectations.
It reiterated its belief that it did not see any improvement in the short haul environment for the rest of the year, which it said remained characterised by “heavily discounted fare offerings across Europe”.
Short haul numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional, were at 647,000, a drop of 4.7pc on November 2012.
Long haul flown passengers were 81,000, a fall of 6.9pc.
