Aer Lingus long haul passenger numbers jump 17pc in June

LONG haul passenger numbers jumped 17pc at Aer Lingus in June while the airline flew 3.1pc more people than the same period last year.

The airline flew 1,044,000 passengers last month, including those on its regional operations.

Short haul numbers were up 1.5pc to 928,000.

The load factor - how many seats on each flight are filled - rose to 86.2pc.
