A cut above Castle launches world record bid

This July, Kilkenny Castle will see the launch of the Ride-On Mower World Record attempt. Sponsored by Husqvarna, the world-record Ride-On Mower attempt aims to have over 1,000 ride-on mowers working simultaneously in one location. Funds raised will go towards new sports facilities for Dunnamaggin GAA.

The attempt will take place in Kilkenny on July 24. At the launch was Noel Hickey, Kilkenny hurler, while James Fennelly, Ireland's Strongest Man 2009-10, and Mick Galwey, former Irish rugby international, lift up Kilkenny hurler Tommy Walsh. Colm Mahady Fennells
