30pc sales jump reported by REA

The recovery in the property market this year has been reflected in a 30pc increase in members' sales activity and it gathered momentum this autumn, the Real Estate Alliance network of agents reported at its recent AGM.

Most of this was due to increased residential sales while regional members also benefited from increased farm and land sales.

An estimated 60pc of sales came from cash buyers.
