20 suitors line up for control of Adare

Over 20 expressions of interest have been submitted to the National Asset Management Agency by Irish and overseas consortiums who want to take control of Adare Manor in Limerick by buying the loan associated with it.

About €13m at least is expected to be needed to secure the luxury resort, which is the home of the JP McManus Pro-Am where Tiger Woods (above) regularly competes. Sean Melly and senior management in the hotel are among the bidders for the hotel, which has been run for the past two decades by Tom Kane.
