11 year old Dominic Herman-Day from Brighton will front Hamleys Toy Wrap, a weekly analysis of the UK toy market for a new children’s TV show set to launch with Piggybank Television on The Business Channel in December.







The Mario Karts and skateboarding mad schoolboy currently at K-Bis Stage School in Brighton will feature in OINK! on Air, the television show scheduled to go out live from December with Piggybank Television on The Business Channel as part of Hamley’s partnership with OINK!, the highly acclaimed national business newspaper for kids aged 7 to 12. OINK! on Air will include an hour of fast, fun and facts covering all aspects of money matters for kids, including, Careers Corner™, Celebrity Saver™, breaking news from OINK!’s Piggybank®Fantasy Stock Exchange™, interviews and updates on the ever changing world of money and business!



Thousands of children already trade on OINK!’s Piggybank®Fantasy Stock Exchange™ supported by the London Stock Exchange and the Financial Times, and Hamleys, the world’s leading toy store, is now launching the OINK! Toy Index™ (OTI) an innovative and fun trading commodities report which will track toy sales.



OINK! on Air will also include a daily Hamleys Toy Report direct from the shop floor at Hamleys world famous Regent Street store and from its growing outlets around the world, from Dublin to Dubai.



Dominic Herman-Day has been at stage school now for almost five years and has appeared in numerous shows from Jesus Christ Superstar and Tommy – The Musical at Brighton’s Theatre Royal to A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Glyndebourne. His favourite actor is Johnny Depp and his ambition is to “make his pocket money go further” and become a professional performer in musical theatre.



“With the world’s stock markets suffering such turmoil of late, we believe it’s time to give people genuine insight into a another type of commodity – toys! Dominic so understands what kids are into and is a brilliant communicator. Viewers will get a clear sense of which toys are hot and the kind of trends that are emerging across the diverse, highly competitive, multi-billion pound toy and games industry,” said Matt Webb, Head of Marketing for Hamleys.



Dominic, who is crossing his fingers for a Hotwires Electronics Set for Christmas said: “My friends love hearing and talking about the latest toys and what’s going on out there. I’m determined to make our round-ups fun as well as educational for kids. This is a really exciting opportunity and I am currently working hard getting to grips with everything in Hamleys - which is a bit like all your Christmases coming at once!”



The OINK! on Air television show is scheduled to go out live on Piggybank Television on The Business Channel in the UK (SKY 547) each day at 4.30pm to 5.30pm, with a repeat the following morning at 6.00am to 8.00am.



Piggybank Television on The Business Channel will be carried abroad to selected station affiliates by Motion Network TV, a new international broadcast company, part of Motion Network Holdings plc.
