'Pressing for progress is something we all have to strive for' - CPM celebrates IWD 2018
CPM, a major employer in Ireland in outsourcing for business, is celebrating International Women's Day (IWD) by giving back to its staff.
Ahead of IWD 2018, the group encouraged employees to gather goods and clothing together to give to this year's chosen charities Women's Aid and Dress for Success.
Donations from around 1,000 staff, both men and women, including donations and unwanted gifts to sell in the charity's stores.
There was a particular drive to collect women's business attire in order to help ladies 'dress for success' in the workplace.
Managing Director Lorraine Butler has organised a staff day on IWD 2018 - Thursday, March 8 - to thank them for their generosity over the last few weeks.
Staff smoothies and in-house masseuses will be on site throughout the day to show all the staff that their actions are appreciated.
"We're recognising staff tomorrow but we're also raising money on the day for these charities," Ms Butler told Independent.ie.
"What's key to me is IWD 2018 is just a day, and while doing events like this is so important, pressing for progress on an ongoing basis is something we all have to strive for ."
