Haven's campaign for Haiti is praised

THE charity Haven has earned praise for the "positive impact" its recent advertising campaign here has had in terms of the dual objective of both raising funds and raising awareness for the work of the NGO in Haiti.

Across a range of media formats and with the help of Haven's latest ambassador, Ireland rugby captain Paul O'Connell, as well as veteran ambassador George Hook, Haven ran a series of hard-hitting advertisements on outdoor and bus-shelters, supporting the campaign theme: "Life is harder in Haiti".

Orla Gilroy, the recently appointed CEO of Haven, said: "We are pleased with the overall response to our campaign by Irish citizens, some of whom are personally financially challenged by the recession."
