Global turnover from companies operating under the Guaranteed Irish banner has topped €25bn.

Over 300-plus companies currently operate under the banner, directly employing close to 50,000 people across Ireland.

At a Guaranteed Irish event at the Irish Stock Exchange yesterday, the organisation said that just under half of the companies were engaged in exporting, with the primary export markets being the UK, US, and mainland Europe.

"Through the use of the widely-recognised Guaranteed Irish symbol, in addition to PR and marketing campaigns, networking events and lobbying activities, Guaranteed Irish helps its members to expand at home and abroad," said Guaranteed Irish CEO Brid O'Connell.

Ms O'Connell told guests, including senior leaders from companies such as Kingspan and CRH, that it was calling on business leaders at home and abroad to register with Guaranteed Irish and offer support to other businesses.

The organisation also announced that March would be designated the inaugural 'Guaranteed Irish Month'.

It plans to celebrate members of Guaranteed Irish and to showcase what the organisation said was "Ireland's exceptional international reputation as a great place to work and do business".
