What to know about the competition

•Class: 900 -- Inventions in Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry. Prizes: first €300; second €200; third €100.

Class: 901 Best student exhibit in the above class. Prizes: first €100.

•Class: 902 -- Inventions in Home, Leisure & Building. Prizes: first €300; second €200; third €100.

•Class: 903 Best student exhibit in the above class. Prizes: first €100.

•Class: 904 -- Labour-saving Devices. Prizes: first €300; second €200; third €100.

•Class: 905 Best Student Exhibit in the above class. Prizes: first €100.

Note: Inventions and modifications to existing inventions are eligible and welcome to enter.

Entry forms for the Inventions Competition can be downloaded from the show's website,, just follow the links to the inventions section. Simply print out a form to fill in and post, or alternatively fill in, submit and pay online. The entry fee is €20 for each invention and the prize fund totals more than €2,000.
