Tulsk property farmed 'like a lawn'
Offers in the region of €850,000 are being sought for a 125ac residential farm which has just come on the market in Roscommon.
The farm at Clooneyquinn, Tulsk, is being sold with a small residence and an extensive range of farm buildings. In addition, it has €17,000 in entitlements. Local auctioneer, John Earley, says the property includes 100ac of excellent land, with the remainder being heavier ground.
He described the holding - which is located 4km from Tulsk, just off the main road from Tulsk to Boyle - as a "highly-regarded fattening and finishing farm".
He said the whole property had been farmed "like a lawn", with the entire holding being well fenced, and mains water laid on to all the divisions. The farm incorporates a modern farmyard. The cattle sheds and yards extend to around 35,000 sq ft and provide housing for around 250 cattle when full.
The yard comprises of a number of dry stock sheds and nine bays of slatted sheds - all in excellent condition. In addition, there is a calving shed with 15 individual pens, cattle crush and pen, slurry pit and silage slabs. The farm is for sale by private treaty, but Mr Earley did not rule out the possibility of it going to auction.
Meanwhile, he has a further four properties going to auction at the Central Bar, Roscommon this Friday at 3pm.
