The first €1m-plus farm to be sold west of the Shannon in recent years is being sold by Tuam auctioneer Martin Tyrell.

The non-residential farm extending to 103ac located at Brownesgrove, Tuam, is being sold by the owner, who is retiring from active farming. Located four miles from Tuam and four miles from Dunmore, the holding is in a good farming area and comes with substantial road frontage.

The lands have been well maintained and are currently under a lush grass crop. The easily managed fields are well fenced and watered while the farm buildings on the property include an eight-bay slatted shed and a well laid out sheep shed.

Mr Tyrell describes the property as an excellent, all-round farm with top quality ground and great potential as a dairy enterprise."

With a guide price of around €10,000/ac the property may be sold in a number of lots or in its entirety. Joint agents Martin Tyrell and Joseph Naughton are confident of strong and active interest in the private treaty sale.
