A cold, frosty start to the day, with icy patches in places. Some rain and sleet about too, with some of this falling as light snow in places. This most likely over Ulster, Connacht the midlands and parts of west Munster. Top temperatures of just 2-4C, generally. Cold and frosty tonight with lowest temperatures zero to -4C or -5C. Some ice will form also.


A very cold, frosty start, with icy stretches. Most places dry with some winter sunshine at times, but a few wintry showers in parts of Ulster. Top temperatures just 3-6C, in light to moderate variable breezes. Very cold again overnight with temperatures falling as low as -3C or -4C. Later in the night, a spell of rain and sleet will move into parts of Ulster, north Connacht and north Leinster.


Another cold morning. Frost and ice in places at first. Some rain and sleet too. But much drier and brighter during the afternoon and a little milder too with top temperatures 5-8C. Cold and frosty overnight with icy roads. Lowest temperatures 0C to -4C.


Frost and ice clearing slowly. A cold dry bright day, with sunny spells developing. Highs of just 3-6C are expected.
