The proposed international casino at Two-Mile Borris , Co Tipperary, is beginning to add a bit of excitement to the property market in that neck of the woods.

A 40ac piece of ground at Longfordpass, Gortnahoe, three miles from the site, might well benefit from the promise offered by the development. The farmland is being sold by private treaty with a guide price of €260,000, somewhat more than €6,000/ac.

Situated adjacent to the M8 motorway and seven miles from Thurles, there are no buildings on the land, which comes with a ready water supply. According to auctioneer Jarlath O'Dwyer of Urlingford auctioneers, Thomas O'Dwyer and Sons, the land is perfect grazing ground. Laid out in one field, it is well drained and comes with extensive road frontage on to a minor country road.

Much interest is expected in this property from near and far; from local farmers looking for grazing ground to business people with an eye to what might be unfolding up the road in Two-Mile Borris.
