There is much local interest in the executor sale of a 126ac residential farm at Glenaguile, Toomevara, Co Tipperary.

Located four miles from Toomevara, the farm is brought to auction by DNG Michael Gilmartin of Nenagh with a guide of €7,000/ac.

According to Mr Gilmartin, the late owner was a woman who looked after the farm with great care.

He describes it as a quality, mature grassland farm that is well fenced, with clearly defined fields and good natural boundaries.

The farm will be offered in lots. Lot one will consist of the house, yard and 100ac.

The house is a traditional farmhouse that needs a lot of attention.

The yard consists of a haybarn, an open slatted shed, a closed shed and a range of other stone buildings.

About 30ac of the land with the house is described as high ground.

Across the road from the main farm is Lot two, a 9.5ac parcel of excellent grazing ground that comes with a good deal of road frontage.

Further away from the main farm is a 16.5ac parcel of grassland, again this is of excellent quality and is drawing a lot of interest from neighbouring farmers.

Mr Gilmartin expects the farm to sell in lots rather than as an entire since all the strong local interest to date is in the various sections.

The auction will take place at the Hibernian Inn, Nenagh at 3.00pm on Friday, March 15.
