VIDEO: A-maize-ing - watch this farmer water ski through his corn fields
Nebraska farmer Quinten Connealy has a quirky and fun way of dealing with heavy rain fall on his farm.
He takes to water skiing! While he's used to irrigating his corn fields in the height of summer, back in May his farm in Tekamah was subject to five inches of rain, leaving him with a lot of water logging.
The maize plot is used to test out different hybrids for Channel Seed and wasn't too badly affected by the heavy downpour in May.
According to Quinten the field so far looks great. "We have not harvested it yet as we are around two weeks behind on harvest due to wet conditions this fall."
However, he said that population stands - the number of plants per row - have been hit somewhat by the early season rain.
