Three sport horses, one thoroughbred and one pony were awarded full approval by Horse Sport Ireland at the annual stallion inspections held in Cavan last week.
A further three Irish Draughts were awarded Class 1 approval, with another seven passing Stage 1 of the process.
The two-day inspections attracted a large gathering, and the Irish Draughts, in particular, gained much interest.
One of the most popular Irish Draughts to have been approved was Sean Barker's Gortfree Lakeside Lad, a three-year-old son of the 2014 RDS champion, Gortfree Hero.

Among those passing Stage 1 was Erika Leonard and Eleanor O'Dea's four-year-old Adieu Z. By Andiamo Z. He is out of the Quidam De Revel mare Olandria.
Marion Hughes produced both Z7 Ascot, by Nonstop, and Carisma, by Nabab De Revel, for the Dubai-based Team Z7 Show Jumping, and both were beautifully presented on the day by Brendan Doyle.
