The top 200 dairy herds have average EBI of €185

The top 200 dairy herds have been published.
The top 200 dairy herds have been published.

The top 200 dairy herds, ranked on EBI, have been published on the ICBF website.

There is no change at the top with Liam O'Leary, Conna, Co Cork and Martin Kinane, Ballyglass, Co Tipperary still occupying the top two positions with averages of €223 and €215 respectively.

Sean Ring, Kiskeam, Co Cork overtakes Offaly's Jim Delahunty to claim the third position.

There are 14 herds with an average EBI of more than €200, while the average EBI of the top 200 is €185. The lowest on the list was €174.

Over half of the average score came from the fertility index, which averaged €98, with a further €56 coming from milk.
