A 135ac residential farm at Deermount, Lisarda, Co Cork was sold at auction in July for €1.375m. The property was offered with a 135,700-gallon milk quota, a full range of farm buildings, a residence and €27,000 in entitlements.
Camolin, co Wexford
A 64ac farm at Camolin Park, Camolin, Co Wexford was sold by Coillte in November. The lands made €615,000 at auction or €9,600/ac.
Ardnaglue, Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath
A 114ac residential property at Ardnaglue, Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath sold at auction in June for just over €1.3m. The residence and 26.5ac made €430,000. The remainder sold for an average of €10,000/ac.

One of the top sales in the Garden County last year was the sale of a 160ac, residential stud farm at Kiloughter, Ashford. The farm was sold with 140ac of good quality ground and 20ac of average land. The farm was bought for €2.9m, equating to €18,125/ac.

An 89.5ac residential holding at Kingston, Fortal, Birr, Co Offaly achieved one of the top prices paid in Offaly last year. The holding is located just outside Birr. It sold for just shy of €800,000. The lands included 60 acres of top quality ground, 20ac of forestry and 10ac of callow land.

One of the top prices paid for a large block of land in Meath last year was given for a 102ac tillage farm at Oakstown, Trim, Co Meath. The farm was sold for €955,000 or over €9,360/ac.
Rathcannon, Athlacca, Co Limerick
A 133ac residential holding at Rathcannon, Athlacca, Co Limerick was sold in October for €1,012,000 or €7,600/ac. The residential farm was bought in three lots by local farmers.
Rathbourne, Co Kilkenny
A 152ac farm with a period residence at Rathbourne, Co Kilkenny was sold in April for €1.57m. An adjoining farmer bought the old period residence and 130ac for €1.25m. The remaining 22ac made €320,000.

Close to €910,000 was paid in July for Carrickmoyrath House, Newtownforbes, Co Longford. The 138ac property was offered in four separate lots but ended up being bought in the entire. It was withdrawn at auction at €910,000 but was sold soon after for close to this figure. The sale price equates to €6,600/ac.
