Seven Irish-breds make the top 20

Spring Along, ridden by Daisy Berkeley for Great Britain into third place, was the highest-placed Irish Sport Horse at Badminton.

Foaled in 1993, the gelding was bred by Willie McDonnell. Spring Along is by Pallas Digion (ISH), out of Miss Buck (ISH) by Master Buck (TB).

Followed closely behind in fourth place was Imperial Cavalier, ridden by Mary King and bred by John Brennan. The 1997-foaled gelding is by Cavalier Royale (HOLST), out of Gene Pool (ISH) by Imperius (TB).

In fifth place was Lenamore, ridden by Caroline Powell and bred by Helen Walsh. Foaled in 1992, he is by Sea Crest (RID), out of Karinella (TB) by Valiyar (TB).

In sixth place was Comanche, a 1993 gelding, bred by Joseph Kavangh and ridden by James Robinson. Comanche is by I'm A Star (TB) out of French Girl (ISH) by Le Patron (TB).

Taking ninth place was Rathmoyle King, a 1998 gelding by Furisto's Diamond (ISH), out of Wind Dancer (ISH) by Horace (AA).

He was bred by Jacinta Power and ridden by Carolyn Ryan-Bell.

Horseware Bushman, ridden by Sam Watson to 13th place, is a 1999 gelding by Puissance (ISH), out of Clear Conscience (ISH) by Horos (TB). He was homebred by Sam's father, John.
