There will be much interest in a non-residential 50ac farm with an extensive farmyard located approximately six miles from Bandon, Co Cork.

The holding is for sale by private treaty and comes with a guide price of €10,000 to €12,000/ac.

According to Ernest Forde, of selling agents Hodnett Forde, the farm, located at Mount Pleasant, Farnivane, Bandon, is a top- class livestock operation.

In one natural division, the lands are low lying and currently in pasture.

Set out in large easily managed paddocks, the fields are fenced with a combination of electric fencing and sod ditch boundaries.

An internal farm roadway services the entire holding that was once part of a bigger dairy farm.

The farm buildings have accommodation for up to 150 cattle and include cubicle sheds with central passage ways and electric scrapers.

There is also a hay barn, an old milking parlour, cattle handling facilities and slurry storage.

There are about 400m of road frontage on the northern boundary of the property, with access to a laneway at the back of the holding.

The holding is described by Ernest Forde as "essentially a livestock operation".

The entire is being guided at €550,000 or between €10,000 and €12,000/ac.

"We expect it to get a price at the upper end of that," explains Mr Forde.

"Land around here has been making around €12,000/ac in recent times."
