As part of a special report on rural crime, headed up by crime journalist Paul Williams, the Independent is looking to hear your story.
Recent figures show that two thirds of Irish farms have been hit by rural crime in the past few years. Research by the ICSA shows that farmers are most likely to be hit by vandalism, trespassing and theft.
The survey also found many rural communities believe there is virtually no deterrent to this type of crime.
Now, we’re looking to hear your story. If you’ve been the victim of a crime, or crime is a problem in your local community, we’d like to hear from you.
All contact and information will be treated confidentially. Please drop us a line to firstname.lastname@example.org – briefly outlining your story and your contact details.
