The ICMSA want farmers who failed to sell their milk quota in the last round of trading to be given a once-off chance to sell their quota over the coming months.

ICMSA deputy president Pat McCormack wants farmers who pitched their selling prices too high to be given a chance to sell their quota at the market clearing price in their own co-ops.

"This scenario may mean that some producers will be producing in April this year and will then sell their remaining quota so the exchange should happen as quickly as possible," he said.
