FARMERS and contractors planning to upgrade their machinery or invest in a hedgecutter should visit the Quad-X stand at Ploughing where the company's engineers will demonstrate its latest products.
Verge and hedge mowing contractors will be especially interested in the new Quad-X hedgecutter range, available with numerous specifications and options.
Quad-X responded to demands for an affordable verge mower/hedgecutter a few years ago with the introduction of the power shredder.
Thanks to a built-in multi-position feature, it can be used for topping and shredding but can also act as a hedgecutter for facing hedges and cutting verges and embankments.
The power shredder is available from around €4,600 plus VAT.
The Quad-X range of tractor hedge-cutting machinery is suitable for tractors from 45hp upwards.
The range includes the Compact Series, with a 25hp cutting head; Agri Series, with a 45hp cutting head or 55hp upgrade; and Contractor Series, with a 65hp cutting head.
Customers opting for the arm reach have seven options, ranging from 3m to 6.5m.
Numerous arm options are available, while parallel arm geometry allows the operator to adjust the reach of the arm while maintaining a consistent head angle.
The Quad-X stand is located at D81, Block 4.
