Pylon plan on ICMSA agenda

Delayed farmer payments, EirGrid's pylon plan, CAP and the dairy quality assurance scheme are just some of the topics to be addressed at the annual general meeting of the ICMSA later this week.

The AGM will take place on Friday at the Castletroy Park Hotel in Limerick.

President John Comer said he expected debate the impact of EirGrid's proposed €500m Munster-Leinster high voltage line on on some of the state's best dairy land.

The ICMSA has already confirmed that it favours the 'undergrounding' of the lines.
