With the Punchestown National Hunt Festival just around the corner, now is the time to plan a sporting day out during what promises to be a fantastic week of racing in Ireland.
The opening day of the Festival (Tuesday, April 29) is traditionally most popular with sport horse enthusiasts, and Horse Sport Ireland is once again inviting members to avail of its special offers on reserved enclosure tickets.
For just €15, members of HSI affiliate organisations will gain admission to the HSI Pavilion, which is only accessible through the reserved enclosure.
Racing kicks off at 3.40pm, but the action starts well before that with the parade of affiliates at 2.30pm.
Now in its third year, this is hugely popular and features representatives from some 25 organisations, including the Irish Pony Club, Eventing Ireland and the Hunting Association of Ireland (HAI).
The HAI will also host entertainment during the day within a separate marquee.
As is also now customary, there will be a parade of hounds between races during the evening.
