Pottinger recently held a field demonstration of its full range of silage harvesting machinery including forage wagons, mowers and rakes.

The event, which took place on Talbot Hall farm just outside New Ross in Co Wexford, drew contractors and farmers from all around Leinster and Munster.

It was well attended and visitors were able to see the machines in action in near perfect weather conditions for silage making in the sunny south east.

There was strong interest in the forage wagons in particular, with contractors eager to see how the Pottinger Toro and Europrofi models coped with decent crops of silage.

On the mowing side, the impressive 30ft Pottinger Novacat X8 with new Alpha motion front mower was the focal point.

One of these mowers has already been sold to a Cork contractor for €85,000 plus VAT. Here is a round up the main highlights.
