Visitors to stand number 380, row W can view an array of four and six-cylinder McCormick tractors on display by McCormick importers, D & S Machinery Ltd. As usual, representatives from all McCormick dealerships will be on hand to meet their local contractors and farmers.

Following the introduction of Tier IV complaint tractors across all brands, McCormick is making the most of the engine emission transition period and sticking with Tier III engines while stocks last.

As a result, D & S Machinery says certain models on display at this year's show will remain unchanged with some very keen deals on offer.

For example, the TTX tractor range is powered by the Beta Power 6.7L, 24-valve, six-cylinder turbocharged engine. This fuel-efficient unit features an electronic common rail injection system along with a power management system giving extra power for PTO work. The transmission provides 32 speeds and four synchromesh ranges with reverse power shuttle.

Also on display will be the bigger McCormick TTX model, which has 213hp for pulling and transport tasks and up to 225hp for PTO operations. This model is fully loaded with front linkage and PTO, front axle and cab suspension and mechanical and electric spool valves. A powerful rear lift ensures a maximum lift capacity of 10,950kg.

For stockmen and dairy farmers, the line-up of medium powered McCormick tractors includes the four-cylinder MC range, available with up to 126hp. Key features of this range are the heavy duty back-end and the superior hydraulic oil flow.

A high-performance hydraulic circuit with its closed centre system and 109 litre/min variable displacement pump allows MC models to tackle work with speed and comfort.

D & S Machinery says the X60 Series (92-120hp) is continuing to prove itself as a powerful all-rounder and an ideal loader tractor on Irish farms with a number of useful features.

The McCormick X60.50 is the largest in the range and is geared for expanding farmers who need a tractor to perform a multiple of bigger tasks on farms.

While still looking very familiar to CX users inside and out, underneath the X60 comprises many new components. Many of these are made in-house by the McCormick parent company, Argo, including its 36-speed transmission, front and rear axles, front casting and four-post cab.

With a modest step-up in power, the X60's ability to handle larger, heavier equipment is matched by an increased lifting capacity. The X60 features a lift capacity of 5,000kg which helps to handle bigger implements. Electronic lift and auto PTO also enhance the superior spec of this range.

Also fitted is the Irish-made Dromone telescopic hitch for simple and easier hitching operations. Three spool valves are standard to cater for greater use of hydraulic adjustments that feature on modern implements. An additional two remote valves are an option.
