Mastek Ltd to turn heads with new stubble ground sub-soiler
One-off Ploughing deals on offer
A new stubble ground subsoiler and a new farmer spec umbilical slurry spreader are some of the products that Mastek Ltd will be launching this week in Ratheniska, Co Laois.
And the good news for Ploughing punters is that special one-off deals will be available all week.
The first Mastek product, a stubble ground subsoiler, will be available in either a three- or five-leg format. Mastek's Paul Quinn says this machine came about after he spotted a niche in the market.
"Following the success of our grassland subsoiler, farmers started realising the need to subsoil stubble fields, especially around the tramlines and the headlands in crop fields.
"In fact, some farmers have told us that their production would be down 65pc in this part of the fields because of serious compaction damage done over the last five to six years," said Mr Quinn.
"The main feature of this subsoiler is the strong auto reset legs that have a special swivel joint to avoid pulling up stones. It is also hydraulic depth controlled, with a crumbler controlling how deep or shallow a level the operator wants to work at.
"The price range of this machine is €10,500 for the three-leg unit or €12,500 for the five-leg option, both plus VAT."
