A compact 63.7ac residential farm at Kilbride, Co Carlow is sure to attract plenty of local attention when it comes to auction in mid-October.

The property is being guided by Dawson auctioneers at around €640,000 or in excess of €10,000/ac.

Located on the main Carlow to Bunclody road, the farm has frontage on to the main road and a by-road.

It is described by Matthew Conry of Dawsons as a good arable farm that is well sheltered with mature trees.

Laid out in one block, most of the land is in permanent pasture with a small portion in maize.

The house is an old, two-storey, granite farmhouse with accommodation consisting of two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and sitting room.

The outbuildings include a machinery shed, partly lofted grain shed and a two-bay hay shed.

The property will be offered for sale in three lots. Lot one consists of the house and yard on 1ac while lot two is the remaining 62.7ac. Lot three will be made up of the entire.
