An internet lamb-adoption service has been launched for sheep farmers in the South.
For the past decade, the farm-link website (www.farm-link.com) has provided a free lamb-adoption service to sheep producers in Northern Ireland.
This year, a number of flock owners in the Republic have asked to join in.
As a consequence, a specific lamb-adoption page has been launched for lamb producers in the South.
Flock owners requiring/offering foster lambs or ewes can email in their requests by visiting the specific lamb-adoption page on the farm-link site.
Requests will be uploaded on to the page four times daily during the lambing season.
For producers who do not have access to the web, requests can be phoned in to 0044 7845 194727. The service is free.
