A 43-acre residential farm and a 23ac out-farm in Co Wicklow are attracting "strong interest" from local farmers ahead of next week's auction of both properties.
"The residential farm is located between Ashford, Newtownmountkennedy and Roundwood in an area called Tomcoyle Upper and ideally would suit local farmers looking to expand or a buyer with equine interests," says joint agent Brian Clarke of Clarke auctioneers in Wicklow.
"The out-farm at Knockfadda near Roundwood is a good block of land with extensive road frontage," he added.
The two farms were originally developed as a 'model sheep and cattle farm' but since the passing of the owner, both lots have been rented.
The residential farm consists of a modern dormer bungalow, farm buildings, and a derelict cottage on 43ac.
Joint selling agents Clarke Auctioneers, Ashford and CD Auctioneers, Wicklow have split the sale into three lots.
The first lot consists of the residence and 11ac which has a guide price of €350,000-€400,000.
The second comprises the remaining 32ac and this is guided at between €250,000-€300,000. The third lot consisting of the 23ac out-farm is guided at €200,000
The auction takes place at the Glenview hotel in the Glen of the Downs, Wicklow this Thursday, June 25, at 3pm.
