Meath plot hits €283k
A 40ac residential farm at Pluckstown, between Athboy and Delvin, Co Meath, sold at auction last week for €283,000, or €7,075/ac.
The farm comes with a farmhouse in need of total refurbishment and a modern farmyard with accommodation for up to 60 head of cattle.
According to Aidan Heffernan, of agents Sherry FitzGerald Royal, the property could do with some attention but is good ground that is well fenced. It was bought by a farmer from near Virginia in Co Cavan.
At the same sale a 19.5ac field at Tullyard, near Trim, was withdrawn at €140,000.
