Meath 22.5ac sold to local

It is believed a local man with farming interests bought 22.5ac of land at Dressoge, Athboy, Co Meath, after auction last week.

The farm was withdrawn at €177,500 and, according to auctioneer Padraig Sherry, sold for a higher price. The land was guided at €180,000.

The non-residential farm is described as good fertile ground that is currently under a crop of winter wheat.

Situated 4km from Athboy, the land, which is laid out in four divisions and comes with 200m of road frontage, has reputedly been well farmed over the years.

Mr Sherry said everyone concerned was delighted with the sale.
