There was expected to be keen interest in a big clearout auction of tractors and machinery from Bord na Móna's Derrygreenagh site in Offaly over the weekend, but like so many other public events, the auction has understandably fallen foul of the Covid 19-crisis.
Ricky Wilson, lead auctioneer at Wilsons Auctions, has said the auction would be held at a future date once the crisis has passed and that the decision was taken in accordance with public health guidelines issued recently. As can be seen from our pictures taken by Alf Harvey, there is a good spread of equipment up for grabs whenever the auction does happen.

Most of the tractors are on the older side, in varying condition and, in some cases, feature specialised running gear to help with ground flotation.
A range of over 85 specialised tractors, including four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive Fords, Massey Fergusons, Fiats, John Deeres and Landini tractors, are included in the various lots. Other items of interest included a couple of well-maintained wheeled loaders, as pictured.
