How expert has selected the ten stands not to miss at FTMTA 2017.

1 John Deere

Head to the John Deere stand to see their high capacity fixed-chamber balers as well as the 5R range of tractors in premium specification. With higher power levels and high-capacity hydraulics, Deere claims the 5R range excels in the yard or in the field and is hoping it will sell well with Irish farmers.

2 Claas

Claas will be exhibiting several new products for the first time in Ireland. The German manufacturer's Quadrant 5200 big-square baler incorporates a new knotter system, longer bale chamber and the patented APC (Automatic Pressure Control) system.

The Volvo E-Series Excavators and Volvo H-Series Loaders from Pat O' Donnell and Company are being introduced to the Irish market at the show. Equipped with Volvo 6-liter diesel Tier 4 engines, the H-Series wheel loaders deliver high torque at low engine rpm.

4 D & S Machinery

The new Solis 90 CDRi, Solis 26, Landini 6-145 Series and McCormick X7.650 tractor series are being launched by distributors D & S Machinery Ltd. The Solis 90 features a Tier 4 engine, while the Solis 26 comes as a 4-WD tractor with power steering.

5 Bateman

Punters will be able to see the self-propelled Bateman RB35-S sprayer from F Jenkinson Ltd, which has just launched in Ireland. The Bateman's Panoramic 3 cab is designed and built in-house. The sprayer is fitted with a four speed transmission and can travel at 50kph at just 1900rpm.

6 Keenan

Keep an eye out for the all new Keenan VA range of vertical auger machines - the first product spawned since its takeover by Alltech Farming Solutions Ltd. This range of machines is the first in an array of collaborative projects between Keenan and Italian company Storti. It's good to see the Keenan badge back and the VA range is available as either a twin or triple auger machine from 18 cubic metres upwards.

7 Same Deutz-Fahr

A few new Same Deutz-Fahr tractor models will be introduced to the Irish market at the show. All models displayed will be the very latest Tier 4 engines meeting strict emissions standards. These will include the Deutz-Fahr 6 Series, 5 Series and the Same Explorer models. On the Deutz-Fahr 6 Series, the RC shift transmission is totally new with six powershift splits and different operating modes.

8 Zetor

Zetor, Merlo and Komatsu are to share the stage on the McHale Plant Sales stand. Pride of place will go to the 160hp, six-cylinder Crystal model - currently flagship of the Zetor range. This gives Zetor an offering in the heavy-duty segment of the market.

9 Valtra

The fourth generation Valtra T Series range has been further expanded with new features and the introduction of HiTech models that are available for all horsepower classes. The T-Series is now available with HiTech, Active, Versu and Direct transmissions.

10 Massey Ferguson

Massey Ferguson will unveil a new series of tractors in the smaller-to-medium horsepower range. Two mid-range models kick off the MF 5700 Global Series - the 100hp MF 5710 and the 110hp MF 5711. These tractors are firmly targeted at livestock and dairy farmers and are expected to sell well in Ireland in 2017.
